The Building

The Real Angel
This is a photograph that was taken of “The Angel” before the original building was torn down. It now resides in the Rock Garden on the south end of the School. It has weathered and deteriorated until it is unrecognizable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Museum of Nature and Science
When we were growing up in the fifties, this was known as the Denver Museum of Natural History. Many of us went to the Phipps Auditorium on Saturday Mornings to see the free movies that were shown at that time. The Museum is now known as the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Phipps Auditorium is now the Imax Theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Picnic in the Park
Due to the rules and greed of the City and County of Denver and it`s Parks Department the Saturday “Picnic in The Park” was held in the new lunchroom in East High School.  Our Thanks goes to Kathy L. Callum, the Principal at East for giving us this option. (She was Kathy Lorraine Fisher when she graduated from East in 1968.) The new lunchroom is in an addition to the building and is just behind the Auditorium on the First Floor. The old lunchroom on the Fourth Floor has been remodeled and is now the school`s science labs.<\/td>		 <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Glenmoor Country Club
Glenmoor is one of the nicer new Country Clubs built in Metro Denver – Cherry Hills Village to be exact. It is surrounded by a neighborhood of well kept Trophy Homes. It has been the site of many High School and other groups for their Reunions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miss Imogene Springer is one of the two teachers at East in 1956 who were our Class Sponsors. We were delighted that she joined us for this Golden Anniversary Celebration.<\/td>		 <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

WebMaster`s Note: Mr. Gregg Browning passed away on February 1, 2007 (1\/12\/1922 – 2\/1\/2007). His wife of 61 years, Ruth Browning, passed away on February 5, 2007 (1\/4\/1924 – 2\/5\/2007). Mary Frederickson Morrison
This is not a reunion photograph of Mary. It is the photograph that Mary sent in with her bio for inclusion in the 50 Year Angelus. There are no reunion pictures of Mary, because she missed the whole Reunion.  A couple of days before the Reunion, she began having seizures.  Upon her arrival at the Museum of Nature and Science on Friday evening, she had another seizure. Her son, who was with her, immediately took her to a hospital Emergency Room. She was admitted and underwent a lot of tests. She went home on Saturday. Sometime Saturday night, she fell and broke her left arm between the shoulder and the elbow. It is a shame that she missed it all because she worked so hard for so long to see this reunion become a reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has now moved into an apartment in an assisted living center in Lakewood. Her telephone number  remains the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
